Country Music People columnist David Allan praises Jon’s new song Three Jobs, Two Kids, No Money in the July edition of the magazine.   “Is there a contradiction here? Whilst I intensely dislike much of the rock/pop sound being paraded as country these days – I am more than partial to a spot of good rockabilly and found myself tapping happily along to a lively new offering that’s been written by a couple of Brits, Jon Philibert and Douglas McPherson, together with Rockabilly Hall Of Fame member, Ed Bentley aka Jimmy Satan, “Three Jobs, Two Kids, No Money” – great title – tells the story of a young mother down on her luck. The demo I heard was recorded in Nashville by session vocalist Melissa DuVall and has all the hallmarks of a good rockabilly number. It’s fun, infectious and has that toe-tapping factor and I have a feeling it’ll be picked up by a major act before too long. Dare we hope it might be a British one?”
